Killed the first turkey at 12:15 pm on my first day hunt which sported a 10" beard. Got the second on the last hour of the last day, which he sported a 9 7/8" beard. Endured plenty of rain the four days that I was there, but it was worth the trip. Didn't hear much gobbling in the mornings due to the thunderstorms, but heard quite a few in the afternoon. Hate to see the season come to an end. Looking forward to next year already.

Well, I did kill one,and A Coyote...Had some poachers slippin around across property lines, and shot A gobbler I had comin,been workin him since he flew down.....Not the kind of season ya like to have, but oh well...I did call up several Gobblers,that I didnt shoot...young ones....And A few that always seem to get by some how.LOL...I did have A hoss in my lap one morning,with A hen.All she had to do was skirt me,but she turned around and left...no problem, he's already in range...Safety's off, just pull the trigger when he walks out from behind the deadfall.....He never does...Keeps it between me and him,until he's gone...I never see him again...Thats the kind of season it was for me,thanks for askin.
